Instructions and Guidelines

  • File Format
    Every participant must only use MS Word.
  • Content Visualization
    You must use the "Bell MT" font with font size 36, 20 and 14 for headings, sub-headings and body-content respectively.
  • Plot & Climax
    The 3rd section ( SECTION-03, Body and Conclusion ) should be at least of 2500 Words and not more than 5000 words.
  • Time Limit
    The total duration for this Technical Writing event is of 18hrs and you will get additional 1hr for the submission of your prepared document.
  • Report Format
    • Title page* : Include the title of your document, your name, the date and the name of the event(i.e., XIM University ACM Student Chapter, Pen to Pixel: Writting.......)
    • Abstract* : This will be a brief overview of the content of your document which should be not more than two paragraphs in length.
    • Introduction : This is where you introduce your topic, also you can provide some background information to help readers understand the context of your writing, but should be not more than 3 paragraphs in length.
    • Body* : This is where you provide the main content of your writing. Depending on the topic, you may want to break the body of your writing into sections or subsections to make it easier to read and understand.
    • Conclusion : This is where you summarize your main points and draw any conclusions or recommendations based on the information you've presented.
    • References or Bibliography* : If you've used any sources in writing your document, be sure to include a list of them at the end. This will help verify your information.

      • NOTE:-   ' * ' represents the start of each section. Keep in mind that every section has a different value, and every section should be started in a new page.
